Every story has a beginning — and ours started with a simple dream: to create a place where people could escape the chaos of everyday life, reconnect with the people who matter most, and laugh until their cheeks hurt.

When we first set foot on Green Farm, we saw far more than a collection of old buildings and overgrown land. We saw potential. A place with history in its walls, laughter waiting to echo through the beams, and the space to build something that brings people together.

Back then, we had no grand plan — just a shared vision (and probably a few too many cups of coffee while we stood in muddy boots talking about what “could be”. We had SOOOO many ideas!) Bit by bit, the idea of Green Farm Escapes took shape:

a place for connection, fun, laughter, reflection, and growth.

Of course, there’s been no shortage of hard work — clearing brambles, restoring outbuildings, learning about drainage systems we never wanted to know existed, and tackling a to-do list that seems to grow faster than we can tick it off! But every small victory, from getting the first firepit lit to the first group of friends over for a camping weekend – the weekend after we moved in, has been worth it.

For us, Green Farm isn’t just about a physical space — it’s about energy.

People tell us they feel something when they arrive here: a sense of ease, no judgement, laughter in the air. That’s what keeps us going — the dream of creating a place filled with love, laughter, and the kind of memories that remind you what really matters.

We want our guests to arrive feeling weighed down by life’s responsibilities — and leave feeling lighter, reconnected, and more themselves than when they arrived.

There’s still a lot to do. Buildings to restore. Fields to tame. Gardens to grow. Spaces to imagine. But that’s part of the fun — and we’d love to bring you along for the journey.

This blog will be a little diary of our progress — the highs, the hilarity, and the occasional “what on earth have we started?!” moments.
